NFT-Powered Eco Treasure Hunt Engages Families at Singapore’s Youth4Climate Festival

NFT-Powered Eco Treasure

Singapore – June 4, 2025 — In a creative blend of technology and sustainability education, NFT marketplace Mintable has teamed up with Singapore’s Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment to launch a family-friendly Eco Treasure Hunt at the Youth4Climate Festival 2025. Held at City Square Mall, the initiative is part of the broader Singapore Sustainability Festival and aims to foster eco-awareness through interactive and gamified learning.

The Eco Trail Treasure Hunt, powered by Mintable’s gasless NFT infrastructure and developed by its B2B arm Mintology, encourages participants—especially families with children—to explore eco-friendly installations throughout the mall. At each of the five “Green Stop” stations, visitors can scan a digital badge to collect a unique NFT and unlock bite-sized lessons on sustainability topics such as upcycling, the importance of trees, and the use of sustainable materials.

The experience is intentionally designed to be user-friendly, requiring no prior knowledge of Web3 or blockchain. By integrating digital collectibles with real-world exploration, the event aims to broaden the reach of blockchain education in a practical, engaging format suitable for all ages.

Participants who collect all five NFTs become eligible for a lucky draw linked to both the Youth4Climate Festival and the Singapore Sustainability Festival, adding an extra layer of excitement to the learning journey.

The initiative is the result of a broad public-private collaboration involving City Developments Limited, Singapore Innovation Centre, Asia Blockchain Association, Sustainability Alliance, Go Green SG, and SG Eco Fund.

“This partnership with Go Green SG is an exciting opportunity to show how Web3 can support meaningful education,” said Zach Burks, CEO of Mintable. “In today’s screen-driven world, it’s crucial to create digital tools that encourage balance and real-world interaction. Our gasless minting technology allows users to engage without barriers—and we’re eager to explore how this can be expanded in future government-led sustainability initiatives.”

The Eco Treasure Hunt exemplifies how emerging technologies like NFTs can be integrated into government-supported environmental campaigns, offering a replicable model for educational engagement. By combining education, technology, and fun, the project underscores Singapore’s commitment to innovative climate action and youth empowerment.

Events at the Youth4Climate Festival are curated to be inclusive and accessible, supporting Singapore’s national sustainability goals while nurturing the next generation’s role in climate stewardship.
