With a significant launch on the Sui blockchain, the well-known animated dinosaur NFT brand Claynosaurz is extending its digital universe outside of Solana. A new NFT collection, a dynamic achievements system, and a much-anticipated mobile game that will debut in 2025 are all introduced by this move.
The announcement was made at Token2049’s Sui Basecamp event, when Andrew Pelekis, CEO of Claynosaurz, presented the company’s plans for this new phase. He underlined, “We’re expanding, not switching chains.” “Sui offers the scalable and user-friendly framework we require to develop captivating, fulfilling experiences that appeal to both novices and experts in the field of cryptocurrency.”
Expanding Without Leaving: Solana Roots Remain
While the Genesis Claynosaurz NFTs will continue to reside on Solana, new collections and features will be built on Sui. Co-founder and Co-Creative Director Nicholas Cabana reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to Solana. “The Genesis collections will always be on Solana—that’s their provenance,” he stated. “But Sui will power the next generation of experiences.”
Achievements, Rewards & Popkins NFTs
A new ecosystem-wide achievement system is the first feature in the Sui rollout. Designed to reward collectors and gamers alike, the system will mint badges on Sui for various forms of engagement—ranging from gaming to creative activities. “Soft staking” will also allow holders to earn benefits from assets held on both Solana and Sui.
Soon after, Claynosaurz will unveil Popkins—an expansive 25,000-character NFT collection featuring an all-new species. Rather than a traditional mint, collectors will purchase themed booster packs. These packs may include in-game perks, discounts, or cosmetics for the upcoming game, and only some will contain actual Popkins NFTs. Others will include collectible species cards, adding a layer of rarity and gamification.
Mobile Game Coming in 2025
The Claynosaurz universe will be extended into mobile games later in 2025. Real-time creature combat and a well-developed universe called Claynotopia, designed to appeal to mainstream players, are features of the game, which is scheduled to launch on iOS, Android, and the SuiPlay0X1 handheld device. The experience will be accessible to players who are not familiar with web3 principles because blockchain functionality will operate smoothly in the background.
