Bahrain Edtech Playbook Buys Women-Focused NFT Platform Queen Mode

Playbook has announced its acquisition of Queen Mode, an NFT community for female entrepreneurs and executives in the UAE.

The Acquisition

Playbook provides masterclasses featuring some of the region’s most successful women. It was designed to support women in both their personal and professional lives. This strategic merger marks a significant step in uniting both communities to empower women globally through enhanced learning experiences and networking opportunities.

Queen Mode, a unique NFT community in the MEA region, has consistently organized educational events and sessions both online and offline. With this acquisition, its 220 members will gain access to Playbook’s extensive resources, including over 6,000 minutes of training content, masterclasses, workshops, and speaker series.

Wafa Al Obaidat, Founder and CEO of Playbook, told StartupScene that witnessing Queen Mode advance through this pivotal milestone aligns seamlessly with Playbook’s overarching strategic objectives for expansion and influence. Obaidat further noted that they will continue to build a dynamic ecosystem that provides invaluable resources and connections for women worldwide.

As an NFT community in the Middle East, Queen Mode has organized and led numerous online and offline educational events to support its members’ professional growth. With this union, the NFT community will expand significantly. The community has over 4,000 women across 200 cities in 53 countries across 26 different industries.

Queen Mode, co-founded by Ghizlan Guenez and Hajar Ouhsine, has been dedicated to fostering innovation and advancement among women. According to Ghizlan Guenez, Co-Founder of Queen Mode, the vision for Queen Mode has always been to create a space where women can thrive both professionally and personally. Guenez further noted their excitement about joining forces with Playbook, which will amplify that vision and offer the community even greater opportunities for growth and development.

What the Future Holds

As Queen Mode transitions into Playbook, members will gain access to job boards, one-on-one mentoring sessions with industry experts, and funding opportunities through the network’s angel investors.

This acquisition is the latest in a series of strategic moves by Playbook. In February of this year, the startup acquired WomenSpark, a network of angel investors dedicated to supporting women in their career growth and entrepreneurial journeys.
