One of the most distinct developments in the fashion world is its embrace of technology through NFTs. This evolution started in 2014 when fashion and technology intersected, and fashion became digital through blockchain technology. The intersection was the beginning of something unique, genuine, and exclusive. Fashion brands now leverage the opportunity by authenticating their products, safeguarding against counterfeits and reaching their desired clients.

Five Top Fashion Brands in NFT

1. Adidas

Adidas ranks at the top of the NFT fashion list amongst other traditional apparel brands. Since Adidas came into the limelight in 2021, it created over 12 collections after its groundbreaking first, “Into the Metaverse”. Aside from its collections, the German brand collaborates with other phenomenal brands like Bape and Bugatti. Another transformative feature that keeps it at its peak is its embrace of ever-evolving in-house initiatives. For instance, “Virtual Gear 2022” allows users to customise their avatars with digital collectables. 

2. Nike

In 2021, Nike, an American footwear and clothing corporation in Beaverton, United States, created a web3 studio called RTFKT. Through it, the sportswear brand expanded in NFT creation and now has nine fashion NFT collections, including the Clone X NFT collection. The Clone X NFT collection is the spark for Nike because its invention ushered in top-notch designs.  Nike is a critical player in the traditional influence of fashion and ranks second on the NFT list. 

3. Puma

    One main reason fashion brands are getting involved in NFT is to create provenance for their products. Through NFTs, customers can trace the origin of these products, which is what Puma thrives to provide to the clientele. Having six collections so far, the brand mirrors boldness and innovativeness. Amongst them all, the Gutter Cat Gang NFT project, in collaboration with basketball player LaMelo Ball, is a notable collection. 

    4. Gucci

    The Italian brand ranks fourth with five NFT collections. Gucci is popularly known for its outspoken luxury, overall elegance, and impeccable designs, amongst other traditional brands. One of its noteworthy collections is the collaboration with Yuga Labs, a popular web3 company. Through this collaboration and others, Gucci stamped its name with high digital handprints in the NFT realm.

    5. Dolce and Gabbana

    Using NFT to create digital collections such as virtual sketches and fashion experiences, Dolce and Gabbana showcases artistic vision through the nine-piece collection during Venice fashion week. Getting physical versions of the items and access to their events really stands out and shows that this brand amongst others makes strides in NFT.

    Conclusion

    NFT has really made tremendous impacts in the fashion world. It brings about digital ownership, protection and new revenue streams for brands and for clients, it ensure transparency and eliminates physical inconveniences. Though, those mentioned above are not all the top brands, but they hold high reputation.
